| Bio: | I'm a 26 year old woman who wants to go skydiving one day. I like to read, play online games (mild stuff like Pogo), watch TV and movies, exercise, cook, listen to music and so on. I am married to a wonderful man and am always looking forward to our lives together. We got married on September 30, 2006, and hopefully soon we'll be ready to start trying to conceive. We have 3 cats, Tiger, Little One, and Gus. We found Little One at a gas station the day we got engaged, and she was trying to find food near a trash bag. I immediately tried to get her to come to me while Michael paid for the gas, and I scooped her up and put her in the car. There was no way either of us were going to just leave her there. Now she is a happy, healthy kitty. We also took in Gus as a stray. I don't know why, but he still has the mentality that he has no home. He's ALWAYS, ALWAYS piping up about wanting to eat! It gets annoying. Cats can do that. But we wouldn't trade them in for anything. ;-) I am a type 1 diabetic and take up to four shots a day of insulin. I've had it for over 14 years. Yes, I am sick of it, but I have to do it in order to live a healthy, productive life. It is under good control and I am taking care of it like I should be. My disease does not define me, and it never will. The following is a public service announcement: DISCLAIMER: Diabetics should not be provoked, taunted or otherwise messed with while having a low blood sugar episode. They get very irratable, pissy, and generally crabby. Give them some sugar/orange juice/grape juice...etc and back away or they may kill you. Also, don't tell a diabetic they aren't supposed to eat sugar, candy, or carbohydrates. We can eat anything anyone else does, just in moderation! I swear if one more person says "YOU SHOULDN'T BE EATING THAT, SHOULD YOU!?", I'll bitch-slap them myself. :-p I love to have close-knit friends, so if you'd like to, be my friend & I'll add you back! | |||||
